The first chain lube that can last up to 1,000 miles or more without re-lubing!

EZ Century 1,000 Mile Chain Lube is a proprietary synthetic long-lasting formula you can use in wet or dry conditions. It reduces wear while keeping the chain cleaner. In fact, you will have to tell your bike mechanic that your chain just "looks too clean to be lubed" and not to oil it!

EZ Century™ 1,000 Mile Chain Lube is very concentrated and a small amount goes a long way. When lubricating, apply a small amount to each roller and pin. The carrier will disperse the lubricant into the inner workings of the chain and bond to the metal surfaces. This bonding is one of the secrets to the tenacity of EZ Century™ 1,000 Mile Chain Lube and its up to 1,000 mile or more lube interval.

Chain and Cassette Saving Strategy:

Our research shows that dirt and abrasive contamination are the primary cause of chain wear. The key to optimum chain lubrication is to keep the lubricant in the chain and the dirt out.

Always clean and dry your chain before lubricating. DO NOT lubricate a chain if it has collected dirt. Lubricating at that point, will wash the dirt and contamination INTO the chain rollers where it can grind away metal with each revolution.

If you ride in the rain or through water, you should clean, dry and re-lubricate your chain as soon as possible. This is not because the lubrication has been washed out of your chain. (EZ Century™ 1,000 Mile Chain Lube has extreme resistance to washout.) The problem is that water can wash dirt INTO the chain rollers necessitating cleaning and re-lubing.

Always wipe off your chain thoroughly after lubricating. The lubricant on the outside of the chain will not do anything except collect dirt. This wiping is what makes your well lubricated chain appear to be clean and dry once the carrier has evaporated. You will have to tell your mechanic that your chain is clean and lubed and only "appears" to be dry. Do not let your mechanic oil it! Once the chain begins to collect dirt, do not wipe or lubricate again until re-cleaned, otherwise you will force the dirt into the chain rollers.

Allow at least 4 hours after lubricating before riding. Overnight is even better. It takes time for the carrier to evaporate and leave a tough residue of lubricant bonded to the surfaces inside the chain.
